By default, Soundcheck emails — invitations, offers, reminders, client messages — go out from a Soundcheck address. Verifying a sending domain lets Soundcheck send with your organization’s own address instead, so recipients see you rather than us.
Today a verified domain is used for the test email you send from this page. Invitations, crew offers, and other transactional emails will switch to your verified From address in an upcoming release; until then they keep going out from Soundcheck’s address.
Email sending domains are available on Pro and above, and an organization owner or admin sets them up. You will need access to your domain’s DNS settings to finish verification.

Add a domain

Enter the domain you send from

Type the bare domain — acme.com, not https://acme.com or bookings@acme.com. Use a domain your organization owns.

Copy the DNS records

Soundcheck shows three CNAME records: one mail record and two DKIM records. Each row has a Type, a Host, and a Value, with a copy button on the host and the value.

Add the records at your DNS provider

Create each record exactly as shown at whoever hosts your DNS — for example Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Google Domains. Do not change the host or value.

Re-check

Come back to the Email page and select Re-check DNS. DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to reach us, so it is normal for the first check to come back short.

Reading the status

Each domain also shows when it was last checked, or when it was verified.

Set your From address

Once a domain is verified, choose the address emails should come from:
  • From address — the part before the @, such as bookings or hello. Soundcheck shows the full address as you type.
  • Display name — the name recipients see, such as Acme Events. Leave it blank to send with just the address.
Select Save From address. You can change either field at any time.

Send a test email

With a From address saved, Send test email sends a single message to your own Soundcheck account email. It is the quickest way to see how the address and display name look in a real inbox — and to confirm your domain is not landing in spam. The button stays disabled until a From address is saved.

Remove a domain

Remove domain stops Soundcheck sending from that domain and removes its authentication with our email provider. Afterwards you can delete the DNS records at your provider. You can add the same domain again later, which issues a fresh set of records.

Good to know

  • A domain can be active for one Soundcheck organization at a time. If someone else has already verified it, adding it again is refused.
  • Soundcheck keeps sending from its own address while you are mid-setup — nothing breaks if a domain is pending or fails verification.
  • Verification is checked when you select Re-check DNS. If you change your DNS later, re-check to confirm the domain is still good.
