Soundcheck knows how live events work: a show is only ready when the crew has answered, the paper is signed, the money is moving, and the task list is clear. Open items is that knowledge applied to your gig, automatically. Give Soundcheck your event data and it tells you exactly what still needs doing for the show to succeed — no setup, no extra bookkeeping.
Open items is rolling out gradually and may not be visible in your workspace yet.

Where open items appear

  • The gig header chip — a gig with outstanding work shows an “N open items” chip next to its status. The number is the total count of things needing attention across the whole gig.
  • Tab badges — each gig tab that owns open items carries a small count badge: Staffing, Tasks, Finances, and Clients. The chip points you at the badges; the badges point you at the work.
Open items are derived, not managed. There’s nothing to create, assign, or tick off — each item clears itself the moment the underlying thing is resolved (the invite is answered, the payout is marked paid, the contract is signed).

What counts as an open item

Only gigs in play carry open items: settled, archived, cancelled, and template gigs never show them.

Who sees them

Open items are a manager surface — they appear for people who manage the gig. Badges only ever appear on tabs you can already see, and the header chip only counts those badges.

The bigger picture

Open items are the per-gig half of a pair. The Rounds digest on your Home page rolls the same items up across every gig in your org, ordered by urgency, so you can start the day knowing exactly where to look. Together they carry the same promise: Soundcheck watches the details of executing an event so you don’t have to keep them all in your head.
