Once available, you’ll connect a Slack workspace to Soundcheck, then create a private channel for any gig straight from its Actions menu. Crew will be added to the channel automatically when they accept, and removed if they drop off, so the channel roster always matches who’s actually booked.

Before you start

  • You need an owner or admin role to connect or manage the Slack workspace.
  • You need permission in Slack to authorize an app for your workspace.

Connect a Slack workspace

Open Integrations

Go to Settings → Connections → Integrations and find the Slack card.

Click Connect Slack

Soundcheck sends you to Slack’s authorization page.

Authorize on Slack

Sign in to Slack (if you aren’t already), pick the workspace to connect, and approve access. Slack sends you back to Soundcheck.

Confirm the connection

Soundcheck confirms with Slack connected and you can now create a Slack channel from any gig’s Actions menu.
Only owners and admins can connect or manage the workspace connection. Other roles see a note to ask an organization owner or admin to connect Slack.

Create a channel for a gig

Open the gig

Go to the gig you want a channel for.

Open the Actions menu

Choose Create Slack channel.

Name the channel

Enter a channel name. Soundcheck creates it as a private channel in your connected workspace.

Create the channel

Click Create channel. Crew are added automatically when they accept.

How crew stay in sync

Once a gig has a channel, Soundcheck keeps its membership in sync automatically:
  • A crew member is added when they accept an invitation or a shift for that gig.
  • A crew member is removed if they decline, withdraw, or are taken off the gig.
Crew whose Slack account doesn’t match the email Soundcheck has on file can’t be added automatically. After creating or syncing a channel, the summary tells you how many crew weren’t matched so you can follow up.

Deleting a gig

Deleting a gig archives its Slack channel. The channel and its message history stay in Slack; Soundcheck just stops managing its membership.

Reconnecting or disconnecting

If Slack access is revoked (for example, the app was removed from your workspace), the Slack card shows an Access revoked state: crew stop being added to gig channels until you reconnect. Click Reconnect Slack to pick up where you left off. To stop the integration entirely, click Disconnect on the Slack card and confirm. Existing channels stay in Slack, but Soundcheck stops adding and removing crew. You can reconnect at any time.
