# Event production software

> Soundcheck is event production software for production companies and AV crews: staffing, venue and load-in details, run of show, gear, and closeout on one gig record.

Soundcheck is **event production software** for businesses that sell live event services. Production companies and AV crews use it to staff shows, share the plan, and keep every gig on track from load-in to load-out.

Each show is a gig record that holds the crew, venue details, show schedule, files, gear assignments, and pay status. Entertainment agencies, tour managers, and roster-based crews run their gigs the same way.

## What it covers

## Who it is for

* Production companies and AV crews running corporate events, concerts, festivals, and private events
* Entertainment agencies that staff production for their own shows
* Tour managers and roster-based crews who run gigs the same way

## Who it is not for

* **Warehouse-first rental shops.** Soundcheck records which of your items are assigned to a gig and when they are returned. It is not a barcode, warehouse, or rental-pricing system.
* **Temp-staffing marketplaces.** Soundcheck works from your organization's roster.

## Limits to account for

* **Plans and enabled features matter.** Inventory, crew availability, and crew offers depend on your plan and on features enabled for your organization. Check the [feature comparison](/subscriptions/feature-comparison).
* **Offerings and the storefront are early access.** They roll out by organization. See [Offerings](/features/offerings/overview).
* **No native rental-system connector.** Bring data in through [Imports](/features/imports/overview).

<Note>
  CheckAI, Chat, and E-sign are **Private Preview**, available only to the existing beta tester group. Signup, paid plans, upgrades, support contact, and public demos do not grant access. Nothing on this page requires them.
