# Organization setup

> Configure your organization — the foundation for gigs, teams, positions, onboarding, and integrations.

Your **organization** is the container for everything in Soundcheck — gigs, setlists, positions, members, leads, and settings. This guide covers the settings that live under **Organization** and where each one lives now that integrations have moved into settings.

## Where settings live

Open the **Organization** area from the sidebar (owners and admins). Settings are grouped into tabs:

| Tab               | What it controls                                         |
| ----------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Profile** | Name, logo, contact details, timezone |
| **Members** | Roster, invitations, seat usage, onboarding overrides |
| **Positions** | The catalog of roles you staff for |
| **Onboarding** | The steps new members complete when they join |
| **Notifications** | Org-wide notification defaults                           |
| **Departments** | Group members into bands or departments *(when enabled)* |
| **Connections** | Integrations and financial connections *(premium)* |

## Basic information

<Steps>
  <Step title="Set your name and logo">
    Your organization name and logo appear on invitations, member-facing emails, and your public booking page. Upload a logo for a professional look.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set the timezone">
    All event times display in this timezone. Set it once, correctly — a wrong timezone causes scheduling confusion across the whole team.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add contact details">
    Used on member-facing communications and your booking page.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Positions

Define the roles you staff for — Lead Vocals, FOH Engineer, Tour Manager — once, at the org level, so they're consistent across every gig, call list, and onboarding flow.

## Onboarding

Design what new members do when they join. Steps can collect profile details, positions, custom fields, and documents.

### Phone verification

An onboarding form can require **phone verification**. When a phone field is required, the member verifies the number (via SMS) before continuing; optional phone fields can be skipped.

<Note>
  Each onboarding form step supports a single phone-verification field.
</Note>

### Positions step

Add a **Positions** step so members select the roles they can fill. They choose from your active [position catalog](/organization/teams/positions), and Soundcheck saves those to their member profile — create the positions first so the step has the right choices.

## Departments

When the **Departments** feature is enabled for your org, a Departments tab lets you group members into bands or departments within a single organization — useful for agencies running several acts under one roof.

<Info>
  Departments is a gated feature. If you don't see the tab, it isn't turned on for your organization.
</Info>

## Connections (integrations & finance)

Integrations and financial connections live under a single **Connections** tab in organization settings.

<Info>
  The Connections tab appears when your organization has **finance** or **white-label** features enabled — generally on premium/finance plans. Without those, the tab is hidden and there's nothing to configure there.
</Info>

Connections is where you wire up:

* **Financial connections** — the payout setup that powers gig payments
* **Integrations** — external services connected to your org

## Multi-organization

You can belong to several organizations — playing in multiple bands, managing several acts, or working as both performer and crew.

* Use the **organization selector** to switch; all data switches with it.
* Each org has its own gigs, setlists, positions, settings, and subscription.
* Your **role can differ** in each org.
* Data is fully isolated — members of one org never see another's data, even if the same person belongs to both.
